The Tavern Bar

The Tavern Bar is a dive hangout as well. With so many divers in Sharm, I suppose nearly all the bars/clubs are dive hangouts. But the Tavern is where many of our instructors headed after closing up to relax and have a cold drink.

Quad biking in the desert

We were taken through Naama bay into the mountains and given two double quads, its advisable to wear full clothing and face masks as its SOOO dusty biking through the sand!

Making Sinai your home

Sinai is the best address in the world, Every day someone else falls for the charms of Sinai and decides to make it their home. Once the decision to stay has been made the next step is to decide where you would like to live. Most people opt to rent an apartment initially and there are many options available to the new Sinai resident. Other new residents and overseas investors opt to purchase property here in Sinai and as a result of this Sharm has recently experienced a property boom and seen a number of European style Estate Agents open their doors for business.

Beach, Diving & Snorkeling Tips

Swimming in the Red Sea is great, but at the same time there are some unwritten rules, which every tourist should know and follow. They are as follows:
Firstly, don’t forget to buy comfy flip-flops – they are available at a relative cheap price of 20-40 EGP in the Old Market. A pair of flip-flops will protect your feet from corals (which can cut your feet if you are not careful).
Secondly, Please don’t take any corals out of the water, don’t pollute the sea and don’t catch fish – these actions are forbidden by the law.

Desert Tips

Apart from the gorgeous Red Sea, visitors of Sharm El Sheikh can also enjoy the marvelous desert. There are number of activities one can do there: if you like sun-rises and sun-sets and would like to see with your own eyes the unforgettable variations of red, yellow, brown and orange, perhaps camel or horse riding is just for you. It is preferable to make a reservation beforehand, as it presupposes free transportation to and from the stables located in the desert.

Around Town

Sharm is not only a popular tourist destination, but it is also a home for many expats coming mostly from European countries, such as the UK, Italy, Germany, Holland, Ukraine, Russia, Czech Republic and many others. This is why this place is characterized by a combination of different cuisines. Here visitors will be able to find restaurants serving European cuisine along with Oriental and Asian food, so don’t be surprised to see Chinese, Japanese, Indian and Thai restaurants all over the place.
